Robert V. Kelly, 91, husband of the late Barbara (Mallon) Kelly, died on Thursday, March 12, 2015. Born in Waterbury on August 12, 1923, the son of the late William J. and Grace L. Kelly, he had resided in Meriden for most of his life. He was a graduated of Meriden High School, Class of 1941 and was a graduate of Central Connecticut State College and received a master’s degree in education from Hillyer College. Mr. Kelly was employed by Regional School District # 5, retiring in 1984. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the US Marine Corps on the Cruiser Mobile in the South Pacific. Mr. Kelly taught in East Hartford, Meriden, Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Middlebury. He is survived by a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Eugene and Maureen Dreyer of Mineola, NY, a niece, Donna McKenna and a nephew, Thomas Watson Per Bob’s request, there will be no services. Burial will be private.
