Wilma Farrow

Wilma R. Farrow, 75, wife of the late Franklin Farrow, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at Masonic Healthcare Center. Wilma was born in Winthrop, MA on September 20, 1938 the daughter of the late William and Teresa (Gilmartin) Sterndale.
Wilma grew up in Winthrop, MA and graduated from Winthrop High School. She was employed by First Boston Investment Company until her marriage to Franklin Farrow in February 1964. They then moved to Meriden in 1969 where she and her husband raised their three children. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for William Orsini & Associates until her retirement in 2007. Wilma was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church. She was active in her community volunteering at Midstate Medical Center at Mediquick after her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at her pool in the summer. She also was an avid shopper and loved going to the Flee Market and going out to eat.
She is survived by one daughter, Amy Lamson and son-in-law, Jamie of Southington; two sons, William Farrow of Meriden and Robert Farrow of Colorado; four grandsons, Joshua, Jordan, and Jamie Lamson of Southington, and Franklin Farrow of Colorado. Mrs. Farrow leaves behind her two loving poodles Mia and Annie and her dearest friend of 44 years Joan Perzanowski.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden and at 10 a.m. for a Mass of Christian burial at St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, Dec. 3rd from 4 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Ave., Meriden, CT 06450.
