Edith P. Knapp, 85, wife of the late Raymond L. Knapp, died on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Skyview Center. Born in Meriden on July 21, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Basilo and Agnes (Zeny) Perlot. She had resided in Meriden all of her life. Mrs. Knapp was employed by International Silver Company, where she met her husband. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, a Eucharistic Minister and a member of St. Joseph choir, where she was able to use her beautiful gift. She is survived by two daughters, Laura McManus and her husband David of Wallingford, and Rebecca Cagley and her husband David of Meriden; a son, Raymond L. Knapp Jr and his wife Roseanne of Meriden; eight grandchildren, Scott, Katie Ann, Katy Mae, Nichole, Jennifer, Michael, Jason and Jamie; twelve great-grandchildren; a cousin Aldo Perlot and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother and a sister. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 10 am at St. Joseph Church, 22 Goodwill Avenue, Meriden Everyone is asked to gather directly at the church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden on Sunday, April 17th from 2 to 5 pm.
