Benjamin Wysocki

Benjamin S. Wysocki Jr., 92, of Harwinton, CT., husband of the late Irene (Burda) Norris Wysocki, died on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the Paradigm Healthcare Center in Torrington, after a brief illness. Born in Middletown on April 18, 1923, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Catherine Wysocki. Mr. Wysocki was a longtime Meriden resident and the owner/operator of the Southington Sprinkler Company, before retiring to New Hampshire in 1984. He was a veteran of WWII, having served with the U.S. Army Air Corp and later joining the Air Force Reserves. Benjamin was an accomplished athlete in all sports and played in the Eastern League. Mr. Wysocki was a true gentleman who will be dearly missed. He is survived by his daughter Katherine Wysocki of Harwinton; his two sons, Benjamin S. Wysocki III and his wife Kim of Harwinton, and Joel Wysocki of Meriden; four grandchildren, Alicia Reichler, Adam Wysocki, Jacob Wysocki and Nicholas Wysocki and two great-grandchildren, Jason Reichler and Ella Reichler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Benjamin was pre-deceased by his brother Edward Wysocki and his sister Eleanor Czajka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday December 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Stanislaus Church, 82 Akron St., Meriden, CT. 06450. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Avenue, Meriden, CT 06450.
