Constance Grieco Nowakowski, beloved wife of the late Bernard Nowakowski passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at home with her family by her side. She was born in Meriden, the daughter of the late John and Josephine Grieco and resided in Southington and Meriden. Constance graduated from Meriden High School and retired from New Departure Division of General Motors after 50 years of service. She is survived by one sister, Florence Grieco Cox of South Meriden; three nieces and their spouses, Sandra Tucker (Scott) of Bridgeport, Brenda D’Agostino (Rob) of Plantsville and Karen St. Arnauld and her companion Ceil Hayes of West Haven; three great nieces, Brittney and Alyssa D’Agostino and Connie Tucker; two nephews, David St. Arnauld and Thomas Grieco, both of Meriden. She was predeceased by her brother, Ralph Grieco and her sisters, Grace St. Arnauld and Lena Gagne. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 5th at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden and at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 109 Goodwill Avenue, Meriden for a Mass of Christian burial. Burial will be in the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown, CT. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, December 4th from 4 to 7 p.m.
