Italia Parisi, 87, beloved wife of the late Achille V. Parisi, died on Friday, November 20, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Nusco, Province of Avellino, Italy on June 1, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Giovanna (Contino) DeMita. Mrs. Parisi was a proud homemaker and a Meriden resident since September 1970. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. She is survived by her two daughters, Antonietta Baggetta and her husband Bruno of Meriden and Francesca Ceneviva and her husband Dennis of Guilford; her three sons Eugenio “Geno” Parisi and his wife Lori of New Haven, Alessandro “Paolo” Parisi and his wife Michele of Guilford and Robert “Bobby” Parisi and his wife Irene of New Haven; her eight grandchildren Bruno, Jason, Ariana, Amanda, Alexandra, Alexander, Marco and Dante and two great grandchildren, Santino and Giorgio. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Italia is predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Achille Parisi. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 10 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden and at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 109 Goodwill Avenue, Meriden for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum. Family and friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden on Monday, November 23rd from 4 to 8 p.m. Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to Our Lady of Mt.
