Edward Gerard Robakiewicz of Montville, CT passed away peacefully on Saturday December 20, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at Norwichtown Care Center, Norwich. Born in Meriden on May 15, 1957 he was the son of the late Edward E. and Lillian Robakiewicz. Ed was a former employee of Gaylord Hospital. Until his illness Ed was a Commercial Painting Contractor. A remarkable storyteller, Ed made us laugh and captivated us with the intrepid adventures of his youth in old Meriden, fishing adventures in Miami, and working the rigs in North Dakota. More importantly his stories instilled a sense of inspiration and wonder in his young daughter Clarissa that she’ll have to share and cherish for all her life. Ed enjoyed the beach in Westerly, fishing and archery with his beloved daughters Crystal and Clarissa, and collecting pumpkins every autumn with his grandchildren who adored their “Grampy”. Ed is survived by his daughters Crystal Paradis (Travis) of Oakdale, CT and Clarissa Rose (Joshua Buot) of Haverhill, MA, sisters Lori (Lorraine) Rob, Barbara Frazier (Richard II), nephew Richard Frazier III, grandchildren Keira and Brennan Paradis, and Arya Buot. He also leaves behind his friend Sharon Rosacker of North Carolina. His family will receive relatives and friends at John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home 88 East Main Street, Meriden, CT 06450 on Friday December 26, 2014, from 4-7 pm. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
