Alberte Roy Rancourt born in St. Victor, Quebec, Canada, on January 14th, 1933, daughter of the late Joseph Roy and Alexandrine Bourque Roy died on Tuesday, December 16, 2014. She was a member of the St. Laurent Church and attended school in Canada and had been a resident of Meriden, Connecticut since 1954. She was employed at the Thompson Candy Company in Meriden for over 35 years and retired in 1993. Besides her husband of 60 years, Gaston M. Rancourt, Bett is survived by 2 daughters, Linda R. Cashman and her husband Dennis Cashman of Bridgewater, NH, and Susan M. Cibelli Mason and her husband Robert J. Mason of Huddleston, Virginia, brother Marious Roy, Quebec City, Canada, brother-in-law Raymond Belanger, Meriden CT, granddaughter Emily Magno and her husband Sergio Magno, and granddaughter Kathleen Alberta Mason, and one great grandson Julian Magno. Also, several nieces and nephews, and many friends. She was predeceased by 4 brothers and 5 sisters, and grandson Anthony (“Tony”) Michael Cibelli Mason. Bett was lovingly referred to by her grandchildren as Grandma Choo Choo. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Memorial Mass to be held at St. Laurent Church, 121 Camp Street, Meriden, CT at 11AM on Friday, December 19, 2014. There are no calling hours. A private family burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Curtis Home Patients Fund, 380 Crown Street, Meriden, CT 06450, the Alzheimer’s Resource Center of CT, 1261 South Main Street, Plantsville, CT 06479 or the Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care, 267 Finch Avenue, Meriden, CT 06451. The family wishes to thank Dr. Audrey Lefkowitz for her devoted care and the staff of the Curtis Home. Arrangements are under the direction of the John J.
