Dolores M. Berger, 71, wife of fifty–one years to Daniel J. Berger Sr. died on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at MidState Medical Center. Born in New Haven on November 11, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Furino. She worked at International Silver Company for fifteen years and retired from Ekris Cable Company in New Britain. Dolores was an avid New York Yankee fan. She loved to watch her sons and grandsons play baseball and football. She was an avid bingo player with her sister-in-law Mary Freeman and her husband Al. She enjoyed spoiling her three great-grandchildren and taking care of her two grand-pups, Cody and Cooper. She is survived by one daughter Denise Berger-Catrone and Mark Trecina, (who can always make her laugh); two sons Dan J. Berger Jr. and his wife Mary and Douglas Berger; four grandchildren, Amberly and Jordan Catrone, Danny Berger III and Vincent Muli-Berger; three great-grandchildren, Christian, Eli and Gia Catrone-Olmeda; one sister and best friend Anna Fucci; close friends and sister-in-law Terry Furino and Eleanor Lane and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Tillie, Louise and Angelina and two brothers, Frank and Anthony “Chic”. Funeral services will be private. Friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden on Friday, February 21, 2014 (TODAY) from 5 to 7 pm.
