Anita P. Noel, 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at Midstate Medical Center. Born in Waterford, Maine on April 3, 1930, the daughter of the late Leo and Ruth (Elliott) Walton. She was a longtime Meriden resident and had graduated Sanford High School in Sanford, Maine. Anita was employed by Gilmartin Dodge Plymouth then Roberts Dodge for fifty-five years. She always loved going to work every day and would even take work home with her. Anita was an avid reader. She is survived by one daughter, Leslie Carrier and her husband Peter; two grandchildren, Jennifer Myers and her husband David, and Joseph Carrier and his wife Angela; one great-grandson, Benjamin; two beloved nieces, Mary Burdette and Joan Noel Taylor; one great nephew, Peter Taylor and one great niece, Kate Johnson. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Avenue, Meriden, CT 06450.
