Lorrean P. Lacy, 76, beloved wife of Edward H. Lacy passed away on March 6, 2016 surrounded by her loving family after a 16 year battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born in Howland, ME on October 9, 1939 to the late Philip and Beulah Paradis. Lorrean resided in Meriden for most of her life and graduated from Meriden High School and Laurel Business College. She was employed by The Napier Co., Luby/Olson and The Lane Construction Co. as an Executive Secretary. Lorrean and her husband Ed formed ELKS Manufacturing and retired from the business. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Lorrean was very proud of all of her children and grandchildren. She loved to travel, dance, and go boating, even if she did get a little squeamish handling bait. Besides her beloved husband, she is survived by her three children, Edward Lacy, III and his wife Ann, Pamela “Penny” Camire and her husband Robert of Meriden and Sharon Lacy of Baltimore, MD; her six grandchildren, Casey and Alex Camire, Jack, Sarah, Lauren and Michael Webb; her brother, Gary Paradis of Vernon and her sister, Teresa and husband Gerald Leonard of Lincoln, ME and She is also survived by her aunt, Jane Allen and several nieces and nephews. Lorrean was predeceased by her brother, Galen and her sister, Carlene. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, March 10th at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 109 Goodwill Ave., Meriden, CT 06451. Everyone is asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, CT 06450 on Wednesday, March 9th from 4 to 7 p.m. Should friends desire, contributions in Lorrean’s memory may be made to the Alzheimers Association Southern Connecticut Chapter, 2911 Dixwell Ave, Hamden, CT 06518 Special thanks to all the nurses, aides and caregivers at Apple Rehab Coccomo.
