Virginia Torres, 73, loving wife of Ramon Torres, died on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at CT Hospice in Branford. Born in Yauco, Puerto Rico on September 25, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Gervacio Rodriguez Caraballo and Luz Esther Caraballo. She was a longtime Meriden resident. Besides her husband of forty-six years, she is survived by two grandchildren, Charito Coriano and her husband Gilberto and Perla Rivera; two great-grandchildren, Bianca and Brendan Coriano; a brother Eligio Rodriguez; two sisters, Elba Acosta and Irma Rodriguez and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Magda Santiago and two sons, Andelmo Santiago and Angel Luis Maldonado. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 10:00 am at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m.
