William H. Meyers, 92, husband of Norma (Dahler) Meyers, died on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Coccomo Memorial after a brief illness. Mr. and Mrs. Meyers recently celebrated their seventieth wedding anniversary on February 10th. His family including children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were in attendance and it was a very happy day for all. Born in Meriden on August 4, 1922, he was the son of the late William and Alice (Kelly) Meyers. He had attended Meriden schools. Mr. Meyers for many years owned and operated William H. Meyers & Sons Building Contractors. He was a member of the Meriden Elks Club for many years. Besides his wife Norma, he is survived by six daughters, Mary Simmons-Meyers, Kathleen (Thomas) Nagel, Patricia Meyers, Elizabeth (Patrick) Veillette, Laura Meyers and Theresa (Louis) Shamas; two sons, William (Marilyn) Meyers and Robert Meyers; seventeen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 11 am in Sacred Heart Cemetery Chapel. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
