May Wall Skinnon, 98, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Summit Health and Rehabilitation Center of Plantsville. May was the wife of the late Edward Skinnon and is survived by a son, Ned Skinnon and a daughter-in-law, Beverly of Southington, grandchildren, Robert of Meriden and his wife Erika, Amy Rogers and her husband Eric of West Haven and great-grandchildren, Jonah and Cosette Rogers and Liliana Skinnon. May is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Helen Theis and two brothers, Thomas and John Wall. May graduated from Lyman Hall High School and was employed by Wallace Silversmith in Wallingford and Manning and Conwell Shoe Store of Meriden. The family would like to thank the staff at the Summit for making her final years comfortable. May’s fond memories includes shopping at G. Fox in Hartford regularly with her sister-in-law, Emma Wall, watching her sons and grandsons baseball games, granddaughters recitals and socializing and doing errands with her other sister-in-law, Marie Ross. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 9:15 am from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden and at 10 am at St. Joseph Church, 22 Goodwill Avenue in Meriden for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, March 23, 2015 from 5 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Activity Fund, Summit at Plantsville, 261 Summit St, Plantsville, CT 06479.
