William Nadwairski

William “Bill” Charles Nadwairski, 62, of Meriden, was called home by his Creator on Saturday, October 4, 2014. Bill passed away unexpectedly in his sleep while in Recife, Brazil. He is finally at peace. Born in Southington on July 10, 1952, he was the son of the late Stanley J. and Helen M. Nadwairski. Bill attended St. Joseph School, Xavier High School and Southern CT State University. He also attended St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield and studied at the Lithuanian Seminary in Rome, Italy. Bill had been employed by the State of Connecticut for many years working at Central Connecticut Regional Center and several area group homes until his retirement. Bill leaves to mourn him, Geraldo Franca, his best friend, companion and devoted husband of 26 years. Brothers, John and his wife, Mary of Boxborough, Mass., and Joseph and his wife, Sally of Clinton; several nieces, nephews and friends. Bill was predeceased by his brothers Thomas, Julian, and Steven. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a service at 7:00 p.m. (sharp) with the Rev. Gerald Dziedzic officiating at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden. A funeral service and burial was held on October 14, 2014 at St. Theresa Chapel in Recife, Brazil with family and friends present.
