Ana L. Velazquez, 74, wife of the late Antero Gonzalez, died Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Westfield Care & Rehabilitation Center. Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico on February 27, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Ana (Carrasquillo) Velazquez. Mrs. Velazquez is survived by seven daughters; Elsa I. Gonzalez, Carmen Gonzalez, Ana Gonzalez, Norma Gonzalez, Maritza Gonzalez, Cecilia Gonzalez, and Elba Gonzalez, three sons; Jose A. Gonzalez, Victor Gonzalez and Juan Gonzalez, all of Meriden, and twenty four grandchildren and thirty seven great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
