Andrew (Drew) Laude, 28, beloved son of Gary and Lisa (Muenchow) Laude, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 after a brief illness. Born on November 3, 1986, he was a lifelong Meriden resident and had graduated from Platt High School, Class of 2005 and attended Tunxis Community College in Farmington where he was on the Dean’s list. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. Drew loved music and was a prolific drummer. Drew was an avid sports fan, who loved the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed walks with his special uncle, Bob Muenchow. Drew had a keen interest in social and political issues. Besides his parents, Gary and Lisa, he is survived by one brother, Jeffrey Laude of Hamden; aunts and uncles, Wayne A. Laude and his partner Fran of Cromwell, Jeffrey and Stephanie Laude of Meriden, Cynthia Muenchow-Lavariere and her son Ritchie Lavariere of Newington, Ronald and Linda Muenchow of Poway, CA, Carol and Paul Rebot of Middletown, Gail and Gil Masler of Meriden, a special uncle Bob Muenchow, Raymond Muenchow and his daughter Wendy. He is also survived by many cousins. He was predeceased by his best friend, Jon Marocchini and his favorite cat Felix. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 5 pm at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden, CT 06450. Burial will be private. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 2 to 5 prior to the service.
