Cathy S. Fortin, 56, wife of Vic Fortin, passed away on December 21, 2014, at her happy place in Florida. Born in Daytona Beach, Florida on December 16, 1958, she was the daughter of Joseph and Christine Ellswick. She resided in Meriden for most of her life and graduated from SCSU with a Master’s Degree. Mrs. Fortin was employed by Oxygen Safe Solutions as a Regional Operations Manager. She was a parishioner of Holy Angels Church. She always loved her big dogs and leaves behind “Sage”. Cathy was an avid Harley fan and enjoyed riding for charity with her husband Vic. Cathy loved spending time with her grandchildren. Besides her husband, she is survived by one daughter; Rachel Fortin of Wilmington, NC; one son, Joshua Fortin and his wife Amanda of Waterbury; four grandchildren; Alyssa, Ethan, AJ and Connor; two sisters, Denise and Virginia Ellswick; two special nephews, Jeremy and Christopher Skinner, as well as many other nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 10 am at Holy Angels Church, 565 Main Street in Meriden. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home on Monday, December 29, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm.
