Patricia Thompson

After battling illness for many months, on Friday, November 14, Patricia A. Hadley Thompson, 76, died peacefully at Meriden Center. She was the loving wife of Robert C. Thompson, MD for 52 years. Patricia was born in Cincinnati, OH in 1938, the daughter of the late Edward P. and Gladys E. (Marker) Hadley. She graduated from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing in 1958. She enjoyed a diverse career in nursing, retiring from Easton Memorial Hospital in Maryland. Patricia will be remembered for her unconditional embracing of human diversity, anchored by a deep appreciation of history and tradition. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Suzanne (Thompson) and Joseph Galotti, Meriden CT and Brett (Thompson) and Aaron Glidden, Homer AK, three grandchildren Gillian Galotti, Hadley and Bryce Glidden, one sister Natalie (Hadley) and her spouse Michael Craven, Rockville, MD. She is also survived by a niece and two nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service to be held on Saturday November 29, 2014 at 2:30 pm at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden. Doug Ridley of Cambridge, MD will be officiating at the service. Friends may call prior to the service from 2:00 to 2:30. Immediately following will be a Celebration of Life at the Comfort lnn, 900 East Main Street, Meriden CT from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. All friends are welcome.
