Jean F. Orzech, 84, died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at MidState Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Meriden on October 11, 1929, she was the daughter of late John and Frances Huey Doyle. Mrs. Orzech was a lifelong Meriden resident and attended St Rose School. She was employed by Insilco for many years and was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church. She is survived by a daughter Joan Orzech of Meriden, two sons Harold Orzech, Jr., and Stephen J. Orzech both of Meriden, two grandchildren Shauna Foote of Florida, and Julius Hocott of Oregon, four great grandchildren Ashely Foote, Leiana, Ryan and Aniyah Ortiz all of Florida and many nieces and nephews. She was pre deceased by a daughter Linda J. Hocott. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a graveside service to be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:00 am in Walnut Grove Cemetery, 817 Old colony Rd, Meiden CT 06451. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the American Lung Association of CT., 45 Ash Street, Hartford, CT 06108. The John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden is in charge of the arrangements.
