James E. Cooper Jr., 61, of Eustis, FL., loving boyfriend of eight years of Janet Peters, died on September 18, 2014 in Leesburg, FL, with his loving son Jamie Cooper at his side. He was taken to Heaven suddenly. Born in Meriden on October 18, 1952, the son of the late James Cooper Sr. and Shirley Cooper, he had resided in Connecticut, Ohio and in Lake County, Fl. He had attended Platt High School and was employed by General Motors up until his retirement seven years ago. Besides his loving girlfriend Janet Peters, he is survived by two daughters, Nicole Case and her husband Adam and Jessica Schoch; two sons, Joel Cooper and his wife Traci and Jamie Cooper; six grandchildren, Zachary, Nick, Robbie, Jake, Kavan and Alyssa; one great –grandson, Dolton; one sister, Linda Cooper; one brother, Jeffrey Cooper and his wife Cindy. He is also survived by two nieces, three nephews, Aunt Patty, Uncle Jack and several cousins. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden, CT. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
