Rocco Antolini, 75, husband of Florence (Inderdohnen) Antolini, died on Friday September 12, 2014 at Midstate Medical Center. He was born in Meriden on August 17, 1939 and was the son of the late Antonio and Maria Nicole (Difabio) Antolini. Rocco was a lifelong Meriden resident and was employed by the State of Connecticut until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of both the Meriden Elks Club and Meriden Bocci Club. Besides his wife Florence, he is survived by his daughter Dawn Antolini of Meriden; six grandchildren Gabrielle, Nicholas, Rocco, Tony, Alysia and Alexandra; 3 great-grandchildren Jordan, Cameron and Kaylee; four sisters Linda (Pelrin) Shatis, Nancy Malletta, Mary Lucente and Lena Baba and one brother Americo Antolini. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Antolini was predeceased by his son Antonio Antolini and brother Robert Antolini. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call prior to the service from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Avenue, Meriden, CT 06450.
