Cecile (Legere) Rooks of Middlefield, CT died on December 23, 2013. Born on March 6, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Exilas and Emalie Bealieu of Van Buren, ME. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School and moved to Connecticut in 1962. Ms. Rooks retired from TI Automotive.
She is survived by her three sons, Wayne Legere of Meriden, Glenn Legere of Middlefield whom she resided with, and David Rooks and his wife Leona of Bristol; two grandsons, Nicholas Legere of Milton, NH and Justin Legere of Middlefield; one brother, Joe “Guy” Beaulieu of Mission Hills, CA; three sisters, Joan Beaulieu of Augusta, ME, Maria Brantley of St. Cloud, FL, and Yvette Rossignol of Van Burren, ME; one great granddaughter, Farrah Legere, and also many nieces and nephews. Ms. Rooks was predeceased by one son, Jody Legere of Meriden; two brothers, Chanel Beaulieu and Donald Beaulieu of Van Buren, ME; five sisters, Aline Beaulieu, Teresa Beaulieu of Van Buren, ME, Jeanne Bissonnette of Lewiston, ME, Germaine Youngblood of Panama City, FL, Kathleen Sirois of Kensington, and a dear friend, Trudy Sutherland of Wallingford.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, December, 28, 2013 at 11 a.m at the John J. Ferry and Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden . with Reverend Dr. John Clarke officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 8-11 a.m. prior to the service. The family would like to thank Dr. Gerard Fumo and his staff for the good care Ms. Rooks received.
