Doris R. Carroll, 93, formerly of Meriden, wife of the late Charles F. Carroll, died on December 8, 2013 peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her first husband, Karl Woodworth.
Born in Meriden on September 25, 1920, she was the daughter of the late James and Amy (Frost) Robinson. She had resided in Meriden all her life and attended Meriden schools.
She is survived by two daughters: Amy Woodworth of Middlefield and Katherine Rourke and her husband, Eugene, of Oxford; three sons: Peter Carroll and his wife, Kathleen, of Wallingford, Kevin Carroll and his wife, Cynthia of Cherryville, NC., and Michael Carroll of Wallingford and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Evagene Gretchell, two sisters Olive Finch and Irene Hadley, and two brothers Herbert Robinson and William Robinson.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service to be held Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 817 Old Colony Rd. Meriden, CT. Calling hours were private.
